I study how the physical environment shapes the human experience, and how to convey these experiences with multi-sensory ethnography. I am a joint concentrator with History, where I focus on environmental and urban histories. Within the folklore discipline I am particularly interested in the study of emotionally significant objects and in the creation of new [structuralist] frameworks to study digital folklore behavior. On campus I'm the News Director at WHRB Harvard Radio, where I help produce the weekly news show As We Know It. Off campus, I've written for publications like CR FashionBook and Mississippi Folklife and worked on short films with groups like the Southern Documentary Project. Folk and Myth has been one of the most exciting, unique parts of my Harvard Experience. Most importantly, my favorite Warren House snack is slightly-overcooked microwave popcorn.
